How Were We Supposed To Know

Over the last few weeks we have heard statements from both the President and the Vice President about the economy and the apparent lack of success from their huge $787 billion stimulus package. First, Joe Biden came out and said that they misread the economy (another article) and that they didn't know how bad the economy was that "they inherited." Interesting, considering Obama kept telling us this was the worst economy since the Great Depression. Then Obama came out and tried to clarify VP Biden's comments. He claims that they did not "misread the economy", they simply had 'incomplete information'.

One question then. How is that any different than the beating George W. Bush took over the Iraq war? Biden claims everyone misread the economy. Well, everyone also thought Iraq had WMD. Obama claims they have incomplete information. Everyone blamed Bush for using incomplete intelligence. The only difference is that Bush was crucified over this for the past 6 years and Obama is getting a free pass.

The other glaring difference here is that Bush would have been burned at the stake by foaming at the mouth liberals if he had tried to start another war in either Iran or North Korea. The irony here is that many Democrats are already talking about a 2nd stimulus package.
