I don't know if you heard, but nearly half of all American households have zero tax liability (Yahoo). You got that? 47% of Americans have no tax liability. Not surprising then when you see that 45% say their tax burden is "about right". Of course, that might actually change thanks to President Obama not keeping his word on tax increases.
