Tea Party and the Economy

I still haven't figured out what the Tea Party has done to get so many people riled up, to the point of saying they are equivalent to the KKK. The Tea Party is for 3 things: limited government, fiscal responsibility, and free markets. What exactly about those things is reminiscent of the Klan?

As for the economy, we have definitely not experience the "summer of recovery" that we were told was coming by the administration. I think this is explained very simply, when you have an administration that wants their hands in every aspect of business, its not surprising when businesses stop doing business!

The President Just Doesn't Get It

Over the past week polls are showing the President Obama has dropped under 50% approval for the first time. Also, according to Rasmussen, his Presidential Approval Index is at an all time low. Its not surprising when you read the news just from this week alone:

Will of the People Be Damned

I think this would pretty much neatly emcompass the definition of judicial activism. The will of the people of California was trounced by one openly gay federal judge yesterday. The majority of Californians were in favor of Prop 8, that's why it won in the ballot box. Yet it was all for not, because apparently 1 man knows better.
